which stones have harmful dust?
Im learning to carve gemstones, and I have started worrying about harmful dusts. I know that dust from hemitite, for one, can destroy your lungs
I live in a small apartment with two other people and have no work area, even if I were to wear a facial coverings and such the dust would still get into the carpet and furniture, or my roommates may not be so willing to wear masks, so I need to be shure Im only working with safe gemstones.
If you do not know the answer to my question (or dont want to list it all out) can you find me a list online? I have searched and found nothing

Basically any dust is harmful to your lungs, you could build a small box type structure with suction hose next to the grinding head to remove the dust at source but still wear a mask yourself.
