What?!? I guess technically there isn’t slapstick since Shakespeare didn’t write a lot of stage directions but I think he usually intended there to be a lot of slapstick with his clown characters. Basically, if a teacher posed this question to me, I would argue it with a little note after picking slapstick. I would let them know that I thought Shakespeare did intend slapstick to be a part of his plays, but because he didn’t typically give a lot of stage direction while writing his plays, we loose that part of his work.
