Book/Movie? Hunt – Pineapple Newel Posts and Faberge Saves The Day?
Okay, so a friend knows I’m a pineapple nut so she sent me this…
“Please don’t think I am weird, but I’ve run out of ideas as to where else to turn.
I have a very vague recollection of seeing a movie (but maybe it was a book) where the house was decorated with pineapples. The stair banisters had them and even the house’s fence. The owner died and left quite a bit of debt but told the family they would be looked after. Long story short – There is a Faberge egg (pineapple style) hidden under one of the staircase knobs, thus everyone lived happily ever after.
Now I have spent many long hours googling everything I could possibly think of to get me a title and have rummaged through all my books, to no avail.
I don’t suppose you have any idea? As I said, please don’t think I am batty, but this has been slowly driving me mad! :laugh: ”
