Daughter caught torturing cat–now what?

My daughter (10) was with me in a dollar store when she grabbed a toy off the shelf. The packaging had a drawing of what looked like Jack Bauer and the words, “Interrogation Kit” in bold print. Inside the packaging, there was a plastic finger chopper, a fake syringe, plastic knuckles and a waterboarding cloth. Later that day, I heard the cat shriek & ran to my daughter’s room. I noticed Tanya putting the squeeze on our cat’s paw with the finger chopper. I asked her what she was doing and she calmly replied, “Boots won’t tell me where she hid my Spongebob.” How do I explain to her that what she did was wrong when she sees Keifer Sutherland do this stuff on 24?
Tanya actually said, “Boots won’t show me where my Spongebob is.”
I caught her with her friend and a couple of boys playing Abu Ghraib in the garage last week. She said she learned about it in school. How do I shield my daughter from the world we live without moving to a farm w/o tv or internet?

don’t let her watch that stuff if she is gonna try what she sees
you need to tell her that she hurt the cat and take the toy away
and explain that the show is not real and they are just actors and you should never do this stuff at home.
