Acer Liquid Comes with Dragons and Donuts
The yet to be launched Acer Liquid promises to take us to a world of Dragons and Donuts. No, I am not referring to a mystical place somewhere at the ends of the earth, though Dragons and Donuts are an unlikely pair even if you factor in fantasy.
Dragon
The Liquid, also known as A1, is set to be launched come November 28, 2009 according to Acer. In its impressive specs sheet, it promises to come with a 1 GHZ Snap Dragon processor. Snap Dragon is the latest set of chip sets that power mobile computing devices such as smart phones and the fastest there is to date among commercially available processors.
Donut
The Liquid will run on the latest Android 1.6 Donut operating system by Google. As we already know, Android has an open-source platform making it open for thousands of developers to collaborate in making Android a better OS. This promises more promises ahead. But not to be downplayed are its outstanding features that makes android phones the hottest units in the mobile phone market today. As with other Android-run mobiles, it has got the best default internet browsers. It also comes packed with Google Applications such as You tube, Google mail, Google voice, Google maps and a lot more. This is on top of other Apps that Google has loaded into Android.
Liquid Features
I do not know if the Dragon and Donut combination makes for a formidable smart phone. However, Acer promises a lot of rosy things to look forward to with the new Liquid. Measuring 115 x 62.5 x 12.5 mm and weighing 135 grams with the battery already tucked inside, the Liquid remains a handy mobile phone that easily fits into your pants’ pockets or your mini handbag. Its 3.5 inch touch screen has a 800 x 480 WVGA screen resolution, which two times higher than most smart phones.
It has a 5 mega pixel camera that is all you need to take high quality photos with your smart phone that is also capable of video recording. With the speedy Dragon as your processor, you are sure to get high-definition video playbacks on your smart phone. The camera also has a geo-tagging feature, which comes as a cool bonus to this already multimedia friendly handset.
It also has other great hardware specs with its 256 MB of RAM and an MicroSD expansion slot, Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities, 3.5 mm audio jack, and a battery that comes with up to 400 hours of standby time and 300 minutes of talk time. Connectivity is great with its 7.2 mega bytes per second High Speed Packet Access Internet browsing.
It is also believed to be more social network-centric, with a lot of social network integration in its contacts system. You can easily view status updates of your friends on the contacts list, without browsing to the social network sites. This contact management system is designed for the typical users of today who are deep into social networking and relies on their smart phones heavily to conduct both personal and business transactions.

Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls $73.28 Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls is a 1994 Americanproduced sequel to Technos Japans Double Dragon series.
