Magic the gathering: Defender Stoic Ephemera?
If i defend with Stoic Ephemera which has 5/5 does it still do damage to the attacker, as it gets sacrificed after blocking… im not sure
and can someone explain how sno mana works???

When Stoic Ephemera blocks, sacrifice it at end of combat.
Combat works in Phases in this order:
Begin Combat, Declare Attackers, Declare Blockers, Combat Damage, Combat Clean Up
Stoic Ephemera says “sacrifice it at end of combat” which is the clean up step. It will do its damage (and receive damage and possible die sooner).
Anything that has a Snow Symbol on it as a cost to pay just means it wants one generic mana (can be any color or colorless) from a snow source.

Mouth of Ronom
Snow Land

{4}{S}, {T}, Sacrifice Mouth of Ronom: Mouth of Ronom deals 4 damage to target creature. ({S} can be paid with one mana from a snow permanent.)
Since it is a Snow Land, it makes 1 Snow colorless mana when you use its first ability (even though it just says 1). To use its second ability, you must pay 4 + a snow generic + tap it. So if you had two Mouth of Ronom + 4 other land, you could tap the 4 land for the 4 generic, tap the other Mouth of Ronom for the 1 generic snow and then tap the final Mouth of Ronom and use its second ability.
