Why are peoples dream boy/girl the male/female version of themselves?
I have a friend (boy) and I asked him what his dream girl was,
he practically described himself as a girl.
I asked over ten of my friends and they all said the same… why do they do this?
My opinion is that people seek a partner who is identical to them because there’s no one who understands you better than yourself. It’s easier to desire someone who has the same interests and personality traits as you than someone completely different and even opposite. There’s less conflict and a higher chance of the relationship lasting.
