Moonlight Fairy
Why is so strange to believe in fairies?
I have always belived in fairies but I don’t veiw them as little people with sparkly wings, I see them more as little emotions or feelings or entities floating around, unseen and invisible. I think they are near very natural beautiful places like pure springs and waterfalls. Any place that is inviting in nature. Like a large green meadow full of colorful flowers. Or even a dark creepy bog in the forest at night where everything is quiet in the moonlight. I believe the fairies can be good and bad and both at the same time, almost like they reflect human emotions. It’s kind of hard to explain but my husband thinks I am crazy. Is it really that strange?
I agree with Lezi, I haven’t really thought of them as human emotions before, but there’s nothing wrong with that. Maybe it’d help you to see just how many people do believe in faeries? If you spend a few days checking out this Myth/Folklore section I’m sure you’ll see plenty of questions appear about faeries, from how to invite them into a garden to what to offer to them to where to find information on them. I don’t know how much reading you’ve done on faeries, but there’s a lot of good books out there too! (I know you didn’t ask for info, but my way of saying it’s not strange to believe in faeries, is to bring up others who do believe as well…)
Perhaps, if you think of them as emotions you don’t believe in a physical form, but you still might be interested in faerie houses? This is a cool book to look at anyways.

And the faerie bible is beautifully illustrated and it talks about faerie myths – which you might not believe in, but I find them a though-provoking read. It also talks about how to invite faeries into your life and give some ideas on how to improve one’s ability to sense and connect with them.

I hope this helps you out a bit. I just advise you not to worry too much about what other people think. Though they might not live in your neighborhood, there are tons of other folk out there who also believe in faeries! And more than that, it’s your personal feeling that matter. You are blessed to sense the presence of the faeries, so why would you ignore them? Embrace the beauty and mysteries of nature, you just might not want to talk about it that much with your husband.
