Myth Round

Myth Round
Round face or chubby cheeks?

Do i have chubby cheeks or a round face?
I am 16 years old and people believe that i am 14 or younger. I am not sure whether I have a round face or just chubby cheeks? I weigh 52 kgs (114 lbs) and i am about 5.5ft. I have a good body just my face doesn’t go with it. When i pinch my cheeks i can grasp them fairly well. My 2 sisters and my parents have an oval face so im really confused.

I admit i eat a lot of junk food and don’t do enough exercise and probaly dont drink enough water so does that contribute to facial fat? It doesn’t do anything to the rest of my body.

Can anyone tell me if I will lose the chubby cheeks with more excercise and a healthy diet or is it just the way my face is?
Or will it disappear when im older?

also do facial excercises help? because some people say its a myth but ive been trying them anyway.

These pics might help:

2nd from the right, brownish skin

http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=8efwpjo&s

haha. the guy in the second pic is funny.

yeah…your face is round. your cheeks are normal.
The junk food really is bad for you. I think you should try to stop.

But if your really paraniod, chewing a lot of gum really helps.

And make-up tips: Apply a lighter shade of blush circularly than add a darker shade vertically.

Also ummm…If you get side bangs thats okay too.

 Bags' Groove

Bags’ Groove

$40.98

There are a multitude of reasons why Bags’ Groove remains a cornerstone of the post-bop genre. Of course there will always be the lure of the urban myth surrounding the Christmas Eve 1954 session — featuring Thelonious Monk — which is documented on the two takes of the title track. There are obviously more tangible elements, such as Davis’ practically telepathic runs with Sonny Rollins (tenor sax). Or Horace Silver’s (piano) uncanny ability to provide a stream of chord progressions that supply a second inconspicuous lead without ever overpowering. Indeed, Davis’ choice of former Dizzy Gillespie Orchestra and concurrent Modern Jazz Quartet members Milt Jackson (vibes), Kenny Clarke (drums), and Percy Heath (bass) is obviously well-informed. This combo became synonymous with the ability to tastefully improvise and provide bluesy bop lines in varied settings. The up-tempo and Latin-infused syncopation featured during the opening of “Airegin” flows into lines and minor-chord phrasings that would reappear several years later throughout Davis’ Sketches of Spain epic. The fun and slightly maniacally toned “Oleo” features one of Heath’s most impressive displays on Bags’ Groove. His staccato accompaniment exhibits the effortless nature with which these jazz giants are able to incorporate round after round of solos onto the larger unit. Bags’ Groove belongs as a cornerstone of all jazz collections. Likewise, the neophyte as well as the seasoned jazz enthusiast will find much to discover and rediscover throughout the disc. The remastered CD includes both historic takes of “Bags’ Groove” as well as one additional rendering of the pop standard “But Not for Me.” ~ Lindsay Planer, Rovi

 Creativity: Theory, History, Practice

Creativity: Theory, History, Practice

$122.58

Creativity: Theory, History, Practice offers important new perspectives on creativity in the light of contemporary critical theory and cultural history. Innovative in approach as well as argument, the book crosses disciplinary boundaries and builds new bridges between the critical and the creative. It is organized in four parts: – Why creativity now? offers much-needed alternatives to both the Romantic stereotype of the creator as individual genius and the tendency of the modern creative industries to treat everything as a commodity. – Defining creativity, creating definitions traces the changing meaning of create from religious ideas of divine creation from nothing to advertising notions of concept creation. It also examines the complex history and extraordinary versatility of terms such as imagination, invention, inspiration and originality.- Creation as myth, story, metaphor begins with modern re-telling of early African, American and Australian creation myths and -picking up Biblical and evolutionary accounts along the way – works round to scientific visions of the Big Bang, bubble universes and cosmic soup. – Creative practices, cultural processes is a critical anthology of materials, chosen to promote fresh thinking about everything from changing constructions of literature and design to artificial intelligence and genetic engineering.Rob Pope takes significant steps forward in the process of rethinking a vexed yet vital concept, all the while encouraging and equipping readers to continue the process in their own creative or re-creative ways. Creativity: Theory, History, Practice is invaluable for anyone with a live interest in exploring whatcreativity has been, is currently, and yet may be.

Irrigated Eden: The Making of an Agricultural Landscape in the American West

$214.04

Irrigation came to the arid West in a wave of optimism about the power of water to make the desert bloom. Mark Fiege’s fascinating and innovative study of irrigation in southern Idaho’s Snake River valley describes a complex interplay of human and natural systems. Using vast quantities of labor, irrigators built dams, excavated canals, laid out farms, and brought millions of acres into cultivation. But at each step, nature rebounded and compromised their intended agricultural order. The result was a new and richly textured landscape made of layer upon layer of technology and intractable natural forces — one that engineers and farmers did not control with the precision they had anticipated.Irrigated Eden vividly portrays how human actions inadvertently helped to create a strange and sometimes baffling ecology. Pioneer farmers, government officials, and businessmen harnessed streams in their quest to make the land produce wealth, but clearing the desert and diverting water to fields had unforeseen repercussions. Aquatic plants and burrowing rodents disrupted the flow of water through canals; weeds and harmful insects spread through crops. The Snake River dwindled, slowed, and warmed; species that thrived in cold, fast-flowing water gave way to those suited to the changed habitat. And irrigators soon realized that in spite of their efforts to control the hydrologic cycle, nature’s unceasing round of water movement had resisted and undermined their hydraulic systems. The myth of the garden, which symbolized the irrigators’ highest aspirations, proved as changeable as the landscape itself. In poems and pictures, advertising and fiction, the garden of plenty took on the trappings ofindustry and became the industrial Eden, where technology, so the tale went, would ease the farmer’s labor and offset the vagaries of nature. In Irrigated Eden Mark Fiege has burst the bounds of historical scholarship; this is an unusual and absorbing work, important to anyone intereste

Salt, Black Frn Handle, Serrated

$58.49

A myth in the knife world is that, out there somewhere exists steel with high-performance cutting abilities that cannot rust. A Japanese steel foundry recently turned this myth into reality with the introduction of a steel they call H1. H1 is a PH steel meaning it is a precipitation-processed alloy, that’s rolled hard without heat-treating and has .1% nitrogen which acts like carbon in the steel matrix, but does not react to chlorine making rust. Surprisingly, it holds a sharpened cutting edge comparable to the premium knife steels being used in the industry by most knife manufacturers. One of Spyderco’s top sellers is our Delica Model. Users gravitate to it due to its sensible size, versatile shape and tested durability. It makes complete sense to plug H1 into this model, so we did, with a couple modifications. Salt I has a more rounded tip that’s a bit thicker at the point. Since H1 was developed specifically for use in and around water, rounding the tip better met the requirements of cutting chores associated with boating and fishing. The Spyderco Round Hole is increased in diameter to 14mm facilitating easier access for gloved or wet hands. All inside/outside steel components (lock bar, pins and clip) have been treated making them impervious to rust and pitting. Volcano Grip texturing covers both sides of the FRN handle for friction-resistance to slipping. David Boye’s locking lever dent is a standard feature that inhibits the lock from accidental release if the handle is gripped with great force. A matching black titanium pocket clip positions for left/right tip-up portability. A hole running through the hollow clip screw makes a lanyard pipe for stringing thong or cord through when using around water.. Technical Specification: – Length overall: 7 (178 mm). – Blade length: 3 (76 mm). – Blade steel: H-1. – Length closed: 4 (102 mm). – Cutting edge: 2-11/16 (68 mm). – Weight: 2 oz (57 g). – Hole diameter: 9/16 (14 mm). – Blade thickness: 3/32 (2.5 m

Scholars of comics, medieval and Renaissance literature alike will find it appealing.

From the Publisher: What was it like to attend the ancient Olympic Games? With the summer Olympics’ return to Athens, Tony Perrottet delves into the ancient world and lets the Greek Games begin again. Featuring sometimes scandalous cameos by sports enthusiasts Plato, Socrates, and Herodotus, The Naked Olympics offers essential insight into today’s Games and an unforgettable guide to the world’s first and most influential athletic festival.
