Oil Warmer

Can i use salt diffuser as oil/tart warmer?

I bought a salt diffuser at world market because it looks so cute, and here is a picture of it

But after I finished with the two bags of salt came with the diffuser, I found that it’s very hard to find those kind of fragrant salt that was made to be used with a warmer. So I am wondering if it’s ok to warm fragrance oil or tart with this thing. This diffuser looks very similar to a oil burner and it uses tealight, but it’s only about 3″ high and I’m afraid that it will overheat as it’s not designed to use with oil or wax. Does anyone know that if it’s possible for it to cause fire if I use it as oil warmer?
