Why? Roberts is more focused on precedent than ideological pressure. If a liberal precedent is set, Roberts will be more inclined to follow it than overturn it.

This is also why I do not think Roe v Wade will be overturned- because “conservative” judges like to keep with precedent. “liberal” judges are more likely to overturn precedent.

I put “liberal” and “conservative” in quotes because they are relative terms and don’t necessarily carry over into the political scheme.
